Vivo T5 Pro Officially Teased With a 9,020mAh Battery — Here Is Everything We Know

The Vivo T5 Pro has been in the news for a while now. The Vivo T5 Pro first surfaced in February in an IMEI database, then in March there were two separate spec leaks, and now the brand is finally acknowledging that this phone exists and is coming soon.

The listing in the IMEI database revealed the model number V2568. While the database does not disclose any hardware details, it confirmed that the device is in development and likely inching closer to launch.  Seeing a phone appear in the IMEI database is usually one of the first signs that a launch is not too far away. It means the device has cleared some early regulatory steps and is being prepared for a market release.

After that February sighting, two rounds of spec leaks in March gave us a fairly clear picture of what to expect from the phone. And then on April 3, 2026, Vivo made its first official move. Vivo’s official X account for India shared a post calling the Vivo T5 Pro “the ultimate powerhouse.” The post teased the phone’s biggest feature its battery and pointed people to a dedicated Flipkart microsite that had gone live, confirming that the phone will be sold on the platform when it launches.

Vivo has started teasing its next T series smartphone, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G, for the Indian market. While the company has not confirmed a launch date yet, early details have surfaced through official teasers and a Flipkart listing, giving a clearer picture of what the device could offer.

This is the T-series successor to the Vivo T4 Pro, which launched in India in August 2025 and was well received in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment. The Vivo T5 Pro is clearly being positioned as a major step up from its predecessor, and the battery is at the center of that story.

Vivo T5 Pro Specifications

Vivo T5 Pro Battery: 9,020mAh

Vivo T5 Pro battery is the headline, and Vivo has officially confirmed the number. The T5 Pro is revealed to have a 9,020mAh battery.  That is a very large number, especially for a phone that is expected to be priced just above Rs 30,000.

To understand how big this jump is, consider where the T4 Pro stood. The real standout is its massive 9,020mAh battery, up from last year’s 6,500mAh, still supporting speedy 90W charging.  Going from 6,500mAh to 9,020mAh is not a small upgrade. That is nearly 2,500mAh more than the previous generation, which is a significant increase in real-world battery life.

For context, most mid-range phones in India today come with a battery between 5,000mAh and 7,000mAh. The standout highlight of the Vivo T5 Pro is its massive 9,020mAh battery, a significant jump even by current standards, where most phones in this segment hover between 5,000mAh and 7,000mAh.  So putting a 9,020mAh battery in a phone at this price point is genuinely different from what most brands are doing.

What Does 9,020mAh Mean in Real Life?

A battery this size means you are looking at very long usage times on a single charge. Many reports have stated that this phone will have an enormous 9,020mAh battery and if those reports are true, it would allow users to use it for 48 hours or for days of long gaming continuously without ever charging it.

Even if you do not game heavily, a 9,020mAh battery means that an average user who browses social media, watches videos, takes calls, and uses apps throughout the day should easily get two full days of use before needing to plug in. For people who travel frequently, work long hours, or simply forget to charge their phone regularly, this kind of battery capacity removes the stress of battery anxiety completely.

Slim Despite the Big Battery

One of the concerns with very large batteries is that they usually make the phone thicker and heavier. Vivo is addressing this head on. It will be the slimmest smartphone in the 9,020mAh battery category.  A dedicated Flipkart microsite for the Vivo T5 Pro reveals it is 8.25mm thick.

At 8.25mm, the Vivo T5 Pro is actually quite slim for a phone with this battery size. Most phones with batteries above 7,000mAh tend to be at least 8.5mm to 9mm thick. Achieving 8.25mm with a 9,020mAh cell suggests Vivo is using advanced battery technology likely a silicon-carbon cell to pack more energy into a thinner body.

90W Fast Charging Is Included

Having a large battery is only one part of the story. Charging speed matters too. The tipster confirmed that it will house a massive 9,020mAh battery with 90W rapid charging. With 90W charging, even a battery this large can be topped up in a reasonable amount of time. You will not be waiting hours to get back to full charge. This combination of a very large battery with fast charging makes the Vivo T5 Pro one of the more practical options for heavy users in this price range.

120FPS Gaming Support

The battery is not the only focus. The teaser also points to support for up to 120FPS gaming, suggesting the phone is being positioned with both endurance and performance in mind.  Having 120FPS gaming support means the phone is being aimed at gamers who want smooth gameplay alongside long battery life a combination that makes a lot of sense at this price point.

Telephoto Camera Extender Kit

One more detail from the Flipkart microsite that is worth mentioning. The Flipkart microsite reveals the Vivo T5 Pro will apparently come with an extender kit for its telephoto camera, which is not something we have seen before at this price point.  A telephoto extender kit at a price just above Rs 30,000 would be a first. It shows Vivo is trying to bring some of the features from its higher-end phones down into a more accessible price range.

Vivo T5 Pro Display

Moving away from the battery, the display is the other area where the Vivo T5 Pro looks like a genuine upgrade over the T4 Pro.

It allegedly comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.  The T4 Pro had a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. So the Vivo T5 Pro is getting a slightly larger screen, a sharper resolution, and a higher refresh rate all at once.

The move from 120Hz to 144Hz may seem small, but it makes a real difference when you are gaming or scrolling through content. At 144Hz, animations and movements on the screen look noticeably smoother compared to 120Hz. For a phone that is being marketed heavily toward gamers, this upgrade makes sense.

The 1.5K resolution also gives the display a sharper and cleaner look compared to the full-HD+ panel on the T4 Pro. Text, images, and video all look better on a higher resolution screen, and the 1.5K panel puts the Vivo T5 Pro on par with what many phones in the Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000 range are offering.

On the chipset side, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. This is a capable mid-range processor that handles gaming, multitasking, and everyday use without any trouble. The phone is also expected to run Android 16-based OriginOS 6, which is the latest software from Vivo at the time of launch.

For the camera, on the rear there is a 50MP main camera using Sony’s IMX882 sensor.  The Sony IMX882 is a well-regarded sensor that performs well in both daylight and low-light conditions. The phone will be IP68 and IP69-rated for dust and water resistance. It will be offered in Glacier Blue and Cosmic Black.

The source claims the Vivo T5 Pro price will cost just over INR 30,000, competing with devices like the Nothing Phone 4a.

Final Words

Based on everything that has surfaced so far, the Vivo T5 Pro looks like a phone that is being built around one clear strength battery life. A 9,020mAh battery at 8.25mm thickness with 90W fast charging and 120FPS gaming support is a combination that very few phones in this price range can match.

Add to that a 6.8-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, a Sony IMX882 camera sensor, IP68 and IP69 water resistance, and a telephoto camera extender kit, and the Vivo T5 Pro starts to look like a well-rounded package for its expected price of just above Rs 30,000.

The phone is expected to launch between April 1 and April 15, 2026 according to reports. If you are someone who prioritizes battery life above everything else in a phone, the Vivo T5 Pro is worth waiting for. It is shaping up to be one of the most interesting mid-range phones of 2026 in India.
