OPPO has officially launched two new phones in China the OPPO K15 Pro and the OPPO K15 Pro+. Both are designed with a strong focus on gaming performance, advanced cooling systems, and customizable hardware, powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. These phones are the successors to last year’s OPPO K13 Turbo series, and OPPO has made some clear improvements this time around.
The biggest talking point with both phones is the built-in active cooling fan. This is something you do not see on most phones, and it makes both the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ stand out right away. On top of that, both phones come with large batteries, fast charging, high refresh rate displays, and run on Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box.
Both phones will go on sale in China from April 3. If you are in India, the OPPO K15 Pro series should make its debut in India in May or early June. Here is a full breakdown of what each phone offers.
OPPO K15 Pro and OPPO K15 Pro+ Specifications and Features
Display
The OPPO K15 Pro 5G gets a 6.59-inch AMOLED flat display with a 1.5K resolution of 2760 x 1256 pixels, 1200 nits peak brightness, 10-bit colours, 460 ppi, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 144Hz refresh rate. This is a solid display for the price. The 144Hz refresh rate means scrolling and gaming will feel smooth. The 1.5K resolution gives you a sharp and clear picture. OPPO is calling this a “golden size” display, as it hits a good balance between screen size and one-hand usability.
The OPPO K15 Pro+ gets a 6.78-inch AMOLED flat display with FHD+ resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels, 1800 nits peak brightness, 10-bit colours, 450 ppi, 330Hz touch sampling rate, and a 165Hz refresh rate. The 165Hz refresh rate is higher than the standard Pro, and OPPO says the device supports native 165fps gameplay in select popular titles, though real-world support will depend heavily on game optimization.
Processor and Performance
The OPPO K15 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Super SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Dimensity 8500 Super is not a top-end flagship chip, but it is a capable processor that handles gaming and daily tasks without any issues. OPPO has also added its own Tide Engine chip-level optimization on top to get the best out of this processor.
The Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip, which sits just below MediaTek’s current-best Dimensity 9500 processor. It has a Cortex-X925 core at 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.30GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2GHz, and more than 29 billion transistors. This is a much more powerful chip compared to the standard Pro model, and it is closer to flagship territory. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Cooling System
This is where the OPPO K15 Pro is different from most phones. OPPO’s Swift Cooling Engine inside the K15 Pro introduces an intelligent fan with an IPX9 rating for water resistance. Completing the cooling system is an extra-large VC heat dissipation plate and thermal conductivity graphite gel. Having the fan carry an IPX9 rating is a smart move, as it means you do not have to worry about the fan getting damaged if the phone gets wet. The vapor chamber and graphite layer work together with the fan to keep the phone cool even during long gaming sessions.
Like the standard Pro, the OPPO K15 Pro+ also comes with a built-in active cooling fan. Both have a metal frame design along with a cooling fan on the back and an LED light system for notifications. The fan on the Pro+ also carries the same IPX9 water resistance rating, so it is built to handle everyday conditions without any concern.
Battery and Charging
The handset packs a 7,500mAh silicon carbon battery with 80W wired SuperVOOC Flash Charge support. A 7,500mAh battery is very large for a mid-range phone. It should easily last you more than a day of heavy use. The 80W fast charging means you will not have to wait long to top it up either.
The K15 Pro+ also has a bigger battery of 8,000mAh with faster 100W charging. An 8,000mAh battery is one of the largest you will find on any phone right now. Combined with 100W fast charging, this phone can go from empty to full in a short amount of time while also lasting extremely long on a single charge. This makes it a strong option for people who use their phone a lot throughout the day.

Cameras
The OPPO K15 Pro features a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), paired with an upgraded ultra-wide lens and modern software tools such as live collage. On the front, the device sports a 16-megapixel f/2.4 front-facing camera. The rear camera module is notably slim, protruding less than 0.6mm, which is quite thin for a phone with this much hardware inside.
The rear camera features the same 50MP main with OIS and 8MP ultrawide on the rear, and a 16MP lens on the front. The camera hardware is the same as the standard Pro, so the difference between the two models is mainly in the display, chipset, battery, and some other gaming features.
Design and Other Features
The K15 Pro embraces cyberpunk-inspired aesthetics and is offered in Cyber Wings, Light Dust Pink, Origin Gray, and an industry-first factory-forged carbon finish dubbed Golden Legend. The phone also comes with a LanYing breathing light that changes colors based on notifications and phone activity. The camera module supports magnetic lens caps, which users can swap out for different styles a feature not commonly seen on phones at this price level.
The K15 Pro+ features an industry-leading four-unit coaxial speaker setup for enhanced audio, a super-sensory touch chip for improved responsiveness, and a new Lingxi button supporting customizable multi-position mapping. Compared to the K15 Pro’s optical fingerprint sensor, the K15 Pro+ features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which is faster and more accurate.
Both phones also carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
Price
The OPPO K15 Pro starts at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs 40,500) for the base 12GB + 256GB model. There is also a 12GB + 512GB variant available at a higher price.
The OPPO K15 Pro+ price in China starts from CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs 47,000) for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the 12GB/512GB model costs CNY 4,199.
OPPO K15 Pro vs OPPO K15 Pro+ — Which One Should You Pick?
Both the OPPO K15 Pro and OPPO K15 Pro+ are built for people who want a phone that can handle long hours of gaming and heavy daily use without slowing down or overheating. The built-in cooling fan is a feature that genuinely helps, especially during gaming, and having it with an IPX9 rating makes it practical for real-world use.
If you want a phone that covers the basics well and does not cost too much, the OPPO K15 Pro is a good pick. It has a large 7,500mAh battery, a 144Hz display, and a capable chip for its price.
If you want a more powerful chip, a bigger battery, a higher refresh rate display, and more gaming features, the OPPO K15 Pro+ is the better option. The Dimensity 9500s chip and 8,000mAh battery make it one of the more capable phones in its price range.
